IGB International School is proud to be the first and only fully authorised continuum school in Malaysia to offer all four of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) and, most recently, the Career-related Programme (CP).
The CP is the newest and fastest growing IB programme in the world. By developing and incorporating the essentials of an IB education, the CP was designed to meet the unique demands faced by High School graduates in the 21st Century. Giving students the edge over their compatriots, the CP has the unique draw of offering many qualifications for the successful student: the Diploma for the CP, the certificates for their Diploma Programme courses, and certificates for the Career-related study.
Consisting of at least two DP subjects, a Career-related study (CRS), and a core of four courses, the CP will equip its students with Personal and Professional Skills, Language Development (Spanish in a business context), Service Learning (central to every IB programme), and a Reflective Project (to address the ethical issues associated with the CRS).
For the Career-related study, IGB International School is one of the first IB Schools in the world to collaborate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales (ICAEW) for its much sought after Certificate in Finance, Accountancy and Business (CFAB) qualification. ICAEW CFAB students are awarded the Certificate Level which provides them with six certificates for Accounting, Management Information, Principles in Taxation, Assurance, Business and Finance and Law. Graduating students can continue to higher levels to become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, gain credit for entrance to university, or go straight to the workplace.
