Mrs. Anne Fowles has 20 years of diverse experience leading international schools in China, Thailand, Mongolia and Fiji. Experienced as a team chair for the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation agencies, she is also an IB team leader for school verification and evaluation as well as being an IB workshop leader, consultant, field representative and presenter at various conferences.
Mrs Fowles is the immediate past Chair of the IB Heads Council and was a member of the IB Board of Governors during 2013-2014. She is a member of the IB Asia Pacific Regional Council and until recently, Chair of the Association of Chinese and Mongolian IB Schools (ACMIBS) and President of the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS).

Mrs. Claire McLeod
After teaching in national and international educational systems for a number of years, Mrs. McLeod was employed as the Head of the Junior School at the International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC). At a separate campus in town, Mrs. McLeod led her team of teachers through curriculum development, the expansion of the Early Childhood section and explored and recommended the implementation of IBPYP. ISHCMC was one of the first in a group of schools in Asia Pacific to implement the IB Primary Years Programme.
After five years Mrs McLeod was appointed Principal of both Junior and Elementary Schools and became a member of the Senior Management Team for ISHCMC. Mrs McLeod effectively managed the amalgamation of the two campuses, and was instrumental in the designing and resourcing of a new Junior School on the main campus.
Mrs. McLeod has a passion for numeracy and literacy as well as inquiry-based learning through the Primary Years Programme. She is renowned for establishing and maintaining a high standard of elementary education using a range of international assessments to measure students’ achievement, including the ISA and MAP. She has extensive experience in developing appropriate programmes for ESL and Learning Support students and has a strong belief in an open door policy, recognizing the important role that parents play in the educational development of their children. Mrs. McLeod has helped expand the role of technology within the curriculum, including the implementation of iPads, laptops and Interactive Whiteboards.
Mrs. McLeod is experienced in recruiting highly capable and caring educators who are skilled in the art of teaching and sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body.
Mr. Michael Arcidiacono
Mr. Arcidiacono originally trained as a teacher of mathematics and has taught all levels of MYP, IGCSE and DP mathematics over the course of his educational career. Mr. Arcidiacono moved into school administration while working internationally in Brazil and subsequently completed his master’s degree and administrative licensure in the United States. Mr. Arcidiacono then worked in Suzhou, China as middle school principal of an MYP school. While in China, Mr. Arcidiacono developed his passion for the MYP, led the 1-1 laptop integration initiative and initiated Student-Led Conferences, amongst other contributions.
Most recently, Mr. Arcidiacono has been the head of secondary of an MYP/IGCSE/DP international school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. There he managed the growth of a young school that doubled in population over a short period of time. He has recently earned completed a doctorate in educational leadership.
Along with his wife and two sons, Mr. Arcidiacono is excited to be joining the IGBIS team and community.
