With almost 20 years of experience in education, Katie’s comprehensive background in leading classrooms ranges from early years to lower secondary school. While teaching in both the MYP and PYP, she assumed the roles of homeroom teacher, specialist, and PYP coordinator in both English and French. Katie’s career spans the globe, landing her in Japan, Honduras, France, Indonesia, and in a fly-in-only Inuit community in the Canadian arctic. She has a keen interest in developing the fundamentals of number sense in the primary years, and she prioritizes social and emotional development in her approach to teaching and learning. When not in the classroom, Katie has begun exploring the art of Muay Thai.
