Mr Vargas joined the educational world after a few years of working in the administrative and financial areas of multinational companies. He taught Humanities and Mathematics in Colombia and Spanish for both the MYP and DP Programmes in Uganda and Sri Lanka. Working overseas has enabled him to get to know diverse cultural traits and amazing landscapes from different parts of the world, acquire new pedagogical resources and improve his teaching strategies. He enjoys reading biographical books, as well as movies, cooking, photography and playing squash. Mr Vargas loves being at IGBIS with his wife, María José Mora who is also a Grade C6 Coordinator and teaches MYP Design.
