Career Pathway: Art & Design
Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)
Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) has collaborated with the IB Career-related Programme (CP) to create a joint enrollment package geared to students who wish to pursue a degree in Art & Design.
Students who complete the Career-related Programme earn the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme Certificate.
SCAD courses taken to fulfill the career-related studies requirement within the CP will give students the option to progress to higher education with university-level credit already on their transcripts.
SCAD courses can be used as the career-related study component portion of the CP as long as these three requirements are met:
- Students must take at least two IB academic courses
- Students must complete the CP core
- Students must complete the approved career programme from SCAD
- Students must meet or exceed SCAD’s normal undergraduate admission requirements
How: Students undertake courses online through SCAD eLearning campus.
Duration: Within the two-year timeline of the CP (last two years of school).
Cost: The cost of the SCAD courses is borne by IGBIS.
