Which country produced the photograph?
At the G7 conference in 2018, the world media reported the event from their own national perspective. For example, the photograph shows the French Prime Minister, Emmanuel Macron, in the centre of the image. It may give the impression that he is the ‘world leader, everybody looking to him for guidance. This is the image the French people saw on their news screens and newspapers.
On the other hand, other countries viewed the G7 in a different way. For example, here is the German photograph.
The image looks like the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, is in charge with other world leaders listening to her guidance.
