December 1, 2023From the Elementary Principal
By Simon Millward
The highlight of the week for me has got to be the Elementary school production ‘The Granny Awards’. To be able to perform this very entertaining musical production in such a short space of time has taken dedication and commitment.
Whilst over the two days, I was able to thank the many people backstage who contributed to the production's success the real driving force behind the production was the team of Mr Alex, Mrs Watters and Ms Siobhan. It was their vision and tireless work that helped the children reach their potential.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you as parents for ensuring that your children were where they needed to be at the right moment in time and for coming along and supporting them on one or more performances. I hope you enjoyed the production as much as I did.
On Thursday, 23 November 2023, our U11 boys and girls development team basketballers played in the KLSL bowl tournament. The students tried their very best, and it was certainly a learning experience. The boys managed to score a few baskets, and our girls finished a credible 3rd place. Thank you to Mr Wilson and Ms Natasha, our coaches, for guiding these students through the season.
Next week, our season 2 activities will start.

From the Counselling Team
As we come towards the end of November, we have been facilitating our final lessons and activities with a focus on Boundaries. Like all of our monthly topics, just because the month and topic focus will end, this does not mean we leave Boundaries in the past. Having some knowledge and understanding and a language to use in relation to Boundaries means that we can continue to reinforce these as parents, teachers and counsellors. Help us by continuing to model and discuss the need to set and protect our boundaries with your young people.
Do not forget to save the date for our next Coffee with the Counsellors on Friday, 08 December 2023, at 8:15 am. Our topic for December is gratitude, and we want to not only spend time sharing about this topic, but we want to simply spend time chatting, having coffee/tea and snacks and getting to know you better. We want to use this as a gratitude session…A time to say thank you for always being at our sessions and supporting The Counselling Team. This session is directly before the Holiday Bazaar. Come in for the meeting and stay for some extra fun.
Have a great weekend!
Best Regards
The Counseling Team
