Mr Fernando is an experienced educator with 17 years of teaching experience in International Baccalaureate schools across Namibia, India, and Oman. He has taught in all three IB programmes, including PYP PE, MYP PHE, and the DP Sports, Exercise and Health Science course. He has also held leadership roles such as Head of Physical Education and Sports Coordinator, organising whole-school events and supporting curriculum development.
A passionate sportsman, Mr Fernando has competed in basketball, football, rugby, volleyball, and track and field at school, university, and junior national levels. He enjoys staying active through various sports and outdoor activities such as hiking, and he looks forward to exploring the natural beauty and culture of Malaysia. Mr Fernando now lives in Kuala Lumpur with his wife and two children, and together they are excited to be part of the IGBIS community.
