Marta – Spanish Language Educator Marta, originally from Spain, is a Spanish language educator with over 15 years of international teaching experience. She began her teaching career in Nebraska, USA, where she worked for four years, and has spent the past 11 years at an IB School in Shanghai, teaching in the MYP, DP, and CP programmes. Passionate about language learning, Marta enjoys creating engaging, culturally rich classrooms that foster curiosity and global-mindedness. She is excited to be joining the IGBIS community with her family, where she will continue sharing her love for the Spanish language and culture. Outside of school, Marta loves spending time with her husband, Oscar, and their two daughters, Maya and Amélie. She also enjoys meeting friends, playing tennis, traveling, swimming, learning new languages, and connecting with the local culture.
