Secondary School Team

Mr Brennan grew up on the east coast of Australia and has worked in a diverse range of schools, including those in remote Australian communities, specialist performing arts colleges and international schools. A keen outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys adventure racing, orienteering and multi-day hiking. He began his teaching career in outdoor education before retraining and moving into the classroom more than 15 years ago. Throughout his career, he has taught a range of senior secondary subjects, including Business Management, Economics, Geography and Legal Studies. He has also undertaken extensive professional development and further qualifications in supporting students learning English as an additional language within the mainstream curriculum and remains passionate about inclusive education. He has held a variety of pastoral and curriculum leadership positions, alongside external assessment and examination roles with educational authorities. His wife also teaches at IGBIS, specialising in Chemistry, and their two boys attend the school's PYP programme.
