From the Elementary Principal

You cannot start a week any better than the news that a colleague has given birth. On Monday morning at 5:17 am (earlier than expected) Ms Natasha gave birth to her daughter Daria. We are thrilled for Ms Natasha and her family, all are well and settling into new routines, congratulations.
On Tuesday we had our RISE hour (in pyjamas) where each grade level rose to the next grade level to meet teachers and experience what it would be like in their new space and grade level next academic year. As I walked around the school on the day I saw lots of excited students, many smiles and wonderful moments. Also on Tuesday, our IGBIS Social Council organised a pyjama day, it was fantastic to see everyone join in the fun, they also facilitated a movie afternoon as well to round off a great day. Thank you to our social council for initiating this and to Ms Young for guiding them this year.
On Wednesday we held our Grade 5 graduation assembly, this was a chance for our Grade 5 students to share their year and showcase their talents. It was fabulous to see dancing, hear singers and teachers past and present share their warm wishes to our Grade 5 graduates.
Finally, on Friday we hosted the KLSL swimming gala which consisted of International schools from all over Kuala Lumpur competing in a short course meet. Congratulations to all of our students who competed to the best of their ability, you represented IGBIS with pride.
