The IGBIS Arts Scholarship is designed to recognise and support students who demonstrate outstanding talent, passion, and a sustained commitment to the arts. This scholarship is for dedicated students who will act as 'Arts Ambassadors' for the school. Scholars are expected to enrich our community, serve as leaders and role models for their peers, and champion the arts across all areas of school life.

To be considered for the Arts Scholarship, applicants must:

Demonstrate Arts Excellence

  • Have a proven record of outstanding contributions to the arts (e.g., visual arts, drama, music, film) within their current school and, where applicable, the wider community.

Maintain Academic Standing

  • Have a reasonably strong academic record with no failing or near-failing grades.

Maintain Holistic Engagement

  • Be thoughtful, well-rounded individuals who have contributed meaningfully to their current school community in at least two of the following areas: Academics, Leadership, Service, Sports, or the Arts.

Mandatory Course Enrolment

  • The scholar must be enrolled in an IGBIS Arts subject throughout their time in the MYP and DP. This is a non-negotiable core requirement of the scholarship.

Arts Ambassador Role

  • The scholar will actively serve as an 'Arts Ambassador.' This includes assisting with and/or leading a range of arts events, exhibitions, workshops, and activities for the wider school community.

Active Co-Curricular Participation

  • The scholar must actively participate in at least one Arts-based After-School Activity (ASA), production, or equivalent co-curricular program each trimester.

Prioritisation of School Events

  • The scholar is expected to prioritise key school-based arts events (e.g., performances, exhibitions, festivals) over external personal commitments.
