At IGBIS, our Early Years Programme welcomes children from 3 to 6 years old — Early Years 1 & 2 (ages 3–5) and Kindergarten (ages 5–6). Here, childhood is celebrated as a time of discovery. We create a safe, nurturing, and culturally diverse environment where every child is seen, valued, and inspired to grow.
Learning that’s playful and purposeful
Our approach is holistic and child-centred, blending emotional, social, physical, creative, and cognitive development. Each day offers a carefully balanced mix of:
- Play experiences that ignite imagination and wonder.
- Teacher- and child-led inquiry that fosters curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Provocations - meaningful engagements that spark new ideas.

A curriculum that grows with your child
The Early Years learning journey is shaped by three connected elements:

Guiding Principles of Early Years at IGBIS
- Every child develops at their own pace and in unique ways.
- The journey of learning is more important than the final product.
- Play is a vital part of learning, enriching children’s cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional growth.
- Real-world and hands-on experiences strengthen understanding.
- Our environment is safe, supportive, and empowering, where every child feels valued, challenged, and confident to take ownership of their learning.
- Building each child’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth is a top priority.
- Learning is viewed as a lifelong adventure.
In the IGBIS Early Years programme, children will:
- Learn to interact, share, and collaborate by modelling care, respect, and empathy.
- Develop problem-solving skills in a variety of settings.
- Gain the confidence to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings freely.
- Build independence, responsibility, and leadership through everyday activities and routines.

These values and practices give IGBIS Early Years students - your children - a powerful developmental advantage. Unlike traditional daycare or preschool, we design environments grounded in leading educational research. This enables us to nurture every child’s individuality, unlocking their unique personality traits, learning styles, and talents while laying strong foundations for future success.
