As an IB, CIS-accredited school, IGBIS uses the IB Learner Profile as our basis for character development across the K-12 programme and shares a set of global citizenship values with other outstanding schools around the world. With these values as our foundation, IGBIS believes international mindedness is the ability to appreciate and understand that although we may have different perspectives and beliefs, we can work together to make a more peaceful world.
The IB Learner Profile is a set of 10 characteristics we aim to develop in all members of the IGBIS community. These attributes are embedded in our daily conversations and reflections with learners, as well as with all adults in our learning community; they act as our North Star for who we wish to be and include:
- Caring
- Principled
- Reflective
- Knowledgeable
- Risk-takers
- Open-minded
- Inquirers
- Thinkers
- Communicators
- Balanced
